Wyphi personalizes the meditation protocol and the breathing rhythm, based on how you want to feel and, optionally, what you tell it about your situation.
Two people who both pick "calmer" won't necessarily get the same session. If one of them mentions racing thoughts before bed and the other mentions a tense afternoon at work, Wyphi can lean on that detail when it interprets the intention.
The protocol is the structure of the session itself — how it opens, what it directs your attention toward, and how it closes. Wyphi selects one that fits the feeling you picked, rather than giving everyone the same script.
Alongside the protocol, Wyphi chooses a breathing pattern to guide through the session. The options it draws from include a coherent rhythm (in for 4, out for 6), a box pattern (in 4, hold 4, out 4, hold 4), an extended exhale (in 4, out 8) and a resonant rhythm (in 5, out 5). Each has a different feel; Wyphi doesn't ask you to pick one, it selects the rhythm it judges fits your intention.
You choose the narration voice and the soundscape, and you can set optional tonal and Golden Ratio preferences.
Personalization isn't the same as automation without input. You pick who's speaking and what's playing underneath — see how a session comes together step by step. If you're curious what Wyphi is drawing on scientifically for the quieter audio layer, the science page is honest about what's established and what's still being studied.
A generic ten-minute relaxation track works fine for some moments and poorly for others. Describing what's actually happening — even in a sentence — gives Wyphi more to work with than a category label alone, which is the whole reason the free-text step exists.
