Meditation for focus

Getting your attention pointed at one thing before a task is a different job than winding down for sleep. Wyphi builds a focus session around what's actually ahead of you.

What a focus session usually involves

When you choose more focused as your intention, Wyphi tends toward a protocol built around directing and holding attention, and a breathing rhythm with a more even, steady pace — a coherent or box pattern rather than one built for deep relaxation. The goal is a clear-headed, alert calm rather than drowsiness.

Can I tell Wyphi what I'm about to do?

Yes — mentioning the specific task, like a presentation, an exam, or a stretch of deep work, helps Wyphi shape the session for that moment rather than for focus in general.

A note like "I have a big presentation in twenty minutes" is enough. Wyphi uses it, in combination with the focus intention you selected, when deciding on a protocol and breathing rhythm.

Where audio profiles fit in

For focus, Wyphi may select a brainwave-oriented audio profile alongside a soundscape like Flowing Stream or Ocean Waves. These are two separate choices layered together — the audio profile is a quiet frequency-difference setting underneath, the soundscape is the ambience you actually notice. If you want the detail on how that layer works, see binaural beats, explained.

What a focus session won't do

A short session can help you settle your attention before starting something, but it isn't a treatment for attention difficulties or ADHD, and Wyphi isn't medical care. If ongoing attention or concentration problems are affecting your daily life, that's worth discussing with a healthcare professional.

Fitting it into a real schedule

Because a session is built on the spot rather than pulled from a fixed library, you can ask for something short before a meeting starts in ten minutes, and it will be shaped for that window rather than a generic length. Your first session is free and complete either way.
